I have been struggling to bring the concepts of body modification/suspensions into the concept of art. I know that it has to do with adornment & how you visualise yourself. Would this fall in with performance art or not??
I myself think body modifications is sick, disgusting and crazy but I do not want it banned since this is a choice that nobody is forced to do to themselves. As far as calling it art I guess since piercings and tattoos are considered art we have to call modifications art too.
