Hope someone can tell me how: in RA,allies,#10, where engineers must disable 3 computers within about 30 mins, I get them all in the right rooms and position them in front of what appears to be consoles, but nothing happens. What am I missing? Read Lisa's walkthroughs but they don't mention this.HELP!

Ah, ok, I looked at my walkthrough -

http://www.bellaonline.com/gaming/strategy_lib_rawalka10.html

and it talks about going up to walls which sort of pretends they're using a computer. So that makes sense.

Did you find the room with the flame tower over it? Did you put the engineer against the right call?

Lisa, yeah, I did shut down the flame thrower, then went north to the computer room. I am pretty sure I went to the correct rooms because I went back and reread your walkthroughs several times. The other computer room was NE and the 3rd SW. Mebbe I need to do some runthroughs just making sure I have seen the entire layout.

One problem with RA is that you can't just skip the level and go on to the next.

BTW, appreciate your response.

OK, wait, so you did get the engineers to each area, and had them deactivate each? Or are you saying you got them to each area but they didn't deactivate what they were supposed to? It's been a long time since I played that but normally with engineers there's the special action you have to take for them to "do their thing", like taking over a building. You're sure you tell each one to take an action on their spot?

Lisa, I think I just figured out the problem. There are 4 deactivation areas but only 3 engineers. I had assumed I had to leave engineers in the deactivation room so I ran out by the time I got to the 4th. I did move them along what appears to be a console just to be sure I hit the right spot.

Going to try taking engineer out of deactivation area after he does his thing.
Thanks

Right, I'm pretty sure once they tag it they can move along to the next one. I didn't rememer there being 4 but it was a long time ago, let me know if that does it!

OK, so wait. You found four deactivation stations. When you put an engineer at the first one, does anything happen? Does it say anything? How do you know you're really deactivating it?

You're going to make me reinstall Red Alert and load up my save game, aren't you <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> It'll be a good test to see if it runs under XP!

LOL Lisa! Well it finally worked. I had the sound turned way down brcause the sounds got on my nerves, so I did not hear them say it was deactivated. I turned up the sound. That helped. Not sure what else I did differently, but I started all over rather than a saved game and got it with time to spare. Now I am struggling with 13 but think it's a matter of doing it fast enough. Hate those damn dogs!

I appreciate your help.
