If you have anxiety or stress you would most likely benefit from tapping or Emotional Freedom Technique. It is a simple but powerful technique where you tap on certain points on the face and upper body. Some people are absolutely blown over by how effective it is. It works a bit like acupuncture except we use it for emotional issues (although it often works for pain too). I have 2 free audios on my web site. Have a listen and tap along to relieve anxiety or feelings or being overwhelmed. See if you feel better and if you do go to the EFT website and get the instruction manual for free. It's making a difference for so many people. If you haven't tried then it's work checking it out.

Sparkle! I downloaded the free manual a couple of weeks ago. I've been tapping, but still am not noticing huge differences. I have a feeling I'm still needing to go deeper and deeper, and am considering seeing someone who does this professionally! I plan on listening to your tape tomorrow when I can have some time alone to do this! Thanks so much for sharing!

Hi Deanne,
I'm pleased that you downloaded the manual. Often the benefits are immediate but occasionally you can have very strong core issues which can be helped by someone who has experience. Sometimes it's just a matter of identifying one or two particular aspects which are problematic and as soon as they are tapped on the issue disappears. That's where a good practitioner comes in handy. If you go to www.emofree.com there is a list of practitioners and hopefully there will be someone in your area.
Keep tapping away, as your energy system is getting a good balance and sometimes, even if you haven't addressed a particular aspect the continued tapping will eventually collapse the problem.
The first time I ever used EFT many years ago, was when I was up inside our roof. My husband and I were trying to find a leak and he was hosing the roof and I was trying to find where the water was coming in. Well, it was very dusty with lots of spiders and quite dark too, I started to feel claustrophobic (which I had never felt before). I had all the classic symptoms, heart racing, sweaty, hot, nausea and feeling that I had to get out of there fast. I decided to give the tapping a go and before I had even completed one round the claustrophobia had disappeared completely. The funny thing is that after tapping I felt very comfortable and was able to walk about in the roof, not worrying about spiders etc!
For me it was such a dramatic proof that EFT worked from then on I was hooked.
I also had problems with performance anxiety, being a musician at that stage in my life. EFT helped dramatically with that too, although not as instantly as in the roof!
I have since used EFT with my piano students and it is a great tool for them to use when they do exams.
I'd encourage anyone with stress or anxiety about anything to give it a go...you've got nothing to lose, except your stress smile

Is this similar to accupressure?

Yes, that's right. Normally, with acupressure the meridians are brought into balance by pressing but with EFT the meridian ends are tapped lightly instead. Of course the same thing is happening with acupuncture where needles are inserted to unblock or balance the meridian.
Acupuncture and acupressure are used frequently for physical conditions where as EFT is mostly concerned with emotional issues (although it has been used successfully for many physical conditions too). With EFT the particular emotion or feeling needs to be brought to the fore so verbal statements are added as well.

I have been doing EFT for about 3 weeks and have noticed a big improvement in the issues I was working on. Perhaps because our family has used acupuncture very successfully that it was easier for us to see how EFT works.

I listened to a couple of live EFT sessions by Carol Look and another guy I can't remember through Bob Doyles Wealth Beyond Reason program and they were great. I think it really helps to listen to these live session rather than just doing it by yourself.

It is a thing of having to work on each issue as it comes up and that new issues will arise out of the ones you are working on, I think. I tried you EFT for anxiety and it was great! Thanks so much.

Joan,
I'm pleased that you're finding the EFT beneficial. You're right, having an understanding of acupuncture certainly makes EFT easier to understand.

The live sessions are great to listen to and do you know that if you tap along with them you get what Gary Craig calls borrowing benefits? That is, as you tap along with someone else you can collapse many of your own issues. Simply identify the issue you would like to work on and then tap away with the individual on the tape or video. You don't need to match issues or even need to be thinking of your own issue. This is because your own system draws the necessary parallels. Try it...it works!

By the way...... today I put a new free EFT audio onto my website. This one is a 10 minute session for Fear of Public Speaking.

I'll check it out! Glad to know about following along on the tapping sessions. I have a couple of abundance ones I listen to frequently that help a lot.
