Hi Deanne,
I'm pleased that you downloaded the manual. Often the benefits are immediate but occasionally you can have very strong core issues which can be helped by someone who has experience. Sometimes it's just a matter of identifying one or two particular aspects which are problematic and as soon as they are tapped on the issue disappears. That's where a good practitioner comes in handy. If you go to
www.emofree.com there is a list of practitioners and hopefully there will be someone in your area.
Keep tapping away, as your energy system is getting a good balance and sometimes, even if you haven't addressed a particular aspect the continued tapping will eventually collapse the problem.
The first time I ever used EFT many years ago, was when I was up inside our roof. My husband and I were trying to find a leak and he was hosing the roof and I was trying to find where the water was coming in. Well, it was very dusty with lots of spiders and quite dark too, I started to feel claustrophobic (which I had never felt before). I had all the classic symptoms, heart racing, sweaty, hot, nausea and feeling that I had to get out of there fast. I decided to give the tapping a go and before I had even completed one round the claustrophobia had disappeared completely. The funny thing is that after tapping I felt very comfortable and was able to walk about in the roof, not worrying about spiders etc!
For me it was such a dramatic proof that EFT worked from then on I was hooked.
I also had problems with performance anxiety, being a musician at that stage in my life. EFT helped dramatically with that too, although not as instantly as in the roof!
I have since used EFT with my piano students and it is a great tool for them to use when they do exams.
I'd encourage anyone with stress or anxiety about anything to give it a go...you've got nothing to lose, except your stress
