BellaOnline Forums TV and Movies Daytime TV Is Dru Gone For Good?

What do you think? Was Victoria Rowell looking for a way out of Y&R or was something else up?

Looks like she's leaving. She was talking about it on The View yesterday although I didn't hear reasoning.

I wish I knew she was going to be on The View, but looks like I did not miss her talking about Y&R. Too bad Mamie, Nathan Jr and Malcolm were not there for her service/memorial.

I want to know why OSHA is not at MVP offices discussing safety and what about insurance issues relating to the fall/accident/death?

The pool house fire had more police presence than this that did result in a death.

I was quite disappointed.

I think Dru will be back. She has left Y and R before and came back again. I believe she went and lived in Italy for awhile. You know since they never found her body, Dru will come wandering back one of these days.

Neil has been through a terrible shock but I am looking forward to seeing his face when Dru comes back to him as I am sure she will.

I saw Victoria Rowell on The View, I record it everyday but only watch it when someone is on that I really want to see. I thought she was being a little too coy about if she would return, this made me think she will be coming back at some point.

I was in the grocery store just yesterday and on the cover of another mag, I don't recall the name of it, they had a picture of the actress that played Dru (Victoria Rowell) with a line that says "I'm waiting to hear."

Of course these headline are often misleading but it did seem to be insinuating that there was a return in the works.

Rowell just got a NAACP award for her book The Woman Who Raised Me>. Maybe she needed some time off to deal with the writing and publication of this book and now she can return. I can't wait to see it if she does. I want to see how they play it out, whats the reason she has been gone, amnesia is my guess. I'm thinking she will come back just as the relationship between Neil and his new woman goes to the next level.

I think I read on the soap central message boards that the writer has been fired that she had issues with and that now she has let it be known that she is interested in coming back if they want to write it.

I would like that since Lily is now modeling and the eating issue is starting and Devon is not really on much, but does seem to have a girl friend and doing better than most his age, so why not show him more at work (Newman)?

Plus now with Neal hooked up with Karen and asking her to move in that would be interesting and that Sharon and Jack are married.

I didn't know that, there is also an article about Lynn arie Latham, it says she will not be returning after the strike was settled, but it says the soap has not commented on the reasons why she is not returning.
It only mentions who took on the duties of writing the soap during the strike.

WELL, I do hope she comes back, I have always liked Dru.

I did a little searching to see if I could find more of the story and check out this link. Apparently there has been alot going on behind the scenes with the writers. I never paid attention to any of that.

Wow, I would love to see Dru return. What would Neil do now that he has a new love? Nothing is impossible in Daytime. I knew there was a possibility of Dru coming back, because she was not exactly killed off, she just had a really bad fall!

I love Victoria Rowell and I hope she comes back. I can't wait to see her run this Karen out of town on a rail and get back with Neil and set it all straight.

It was nice to see Lily and Devon talk about the one year anniversary, but then today they were not on, so that did not fit very well into the day. I wanted to see Neil go get Lily at work and find out about her new gig in Los Angeles and also when will he know about her failing college mid terms?
