I've had microdermabrasion done and to be honest I didn't see that big of a difference in my scars, but my skin was smoother. I had much better results with a chemical peel like glycolic.

Was this a mild peel? What was the strength of Glycolic?

I don't know about scars, but it is wonderful for you skin. I have an at home one that I got through Beauticontrol. I do it once a week and it leaves my skin as soft as a baby behind.

I have had one microdermabrasion treatment, and, at first couldn't tell much of a difference. But now, my skin definitely looks smoother - I also use Arbonne RE9 skin care, and find it to be amazing. Their new Line Defiance foundation is like Botox in a bottle. I plan to do the micro once a month for the next 3 or 4 months (I am 58, and have a lot of old skin buildup)and will keep you posted on the results, although, I don't have any scar issues to report on. The micro helps your skin products work more effectively.

One micro a month is enough?
Normally it is one a week.

I don't know of anyone who has it done once a week - the aesthetician told me that once a month treatments (this is not an at home product, it is done at a salon) supplemented with a scrub at home is advisable. Now, I have used at home products, and, yes, those I used once a week at least, but they are not nearly as effective as having it done by a professional.

Yes, at home once a week.
Better avoid salons.
Most of them use recycle crystals.
And be careful about inhalation of crystals.

I love using my micrdermabrasion kit and cream once a week. It's awesome and I make my own cream now, rather than buying it.
