There have been a lot of funny ads, both on TV and on the Net, that are aimed at getting your attention and then selling you beer - ones with "intimate" connotations, a horse-and-buggy ride gone sour, women who look great until they smile, etc. I'm sure you have seen as many as I have - maybe more. Do these ads sell beer, or just make you laugh?
I seem to buy beer on taste, and the ADs are just to compliment that. Seems like all ads on TV is humorous but when it comes down to it... its taste. Just my opinion
I actually love a lot of the "I'm just here for the Bud Light" commercials. And some of the old "Real Men of Genius" commercials were pretty funny. I guess I'm a little inclined to lean towards a company who has a clever ad pitch....
Buy beer? Haven't done that in ages - I started brewing two years ago I could, however, make a hilarious commercial for the brewing companies on why it might be better to buy commercial... my last batch blew its airlock and I had a geyser of beer fountaining all over the kitchen. It looked like those old vids of oilfield strikes.
Wish I would've seen that geyser! I heard a funny story about a friend's grandfather who brewed beer. He stored it in bottles under the bed, and one day they exploded. His wife was so mad at him she didn't speak to him for a week!
