Viper, you can express your displeasure without being crude about it. It'd a good talent to learn

ok srry guys, i was overacting, cos i didnt realise people acutally liked it.
Ill give a valid reason.
I found it soo boring, and it took ages to get into the game.
The graphics were ok, and it wasnt as bad as i made it sound before, but its still pretty bad.
The story was absolute rubbish, and i think ff6 or ff7 still have the best yet.It was hard to understand and it ment nothing. Is that ok cam amber is it?

(yuna uses esuna on auron, it misses *the word miss comes up*. there was no status changes.
Then auron does triple foul on sin (viper) and he dies:)!)

Fair play to you Auron, those are more admirable reasons, but I'm still inclined to disagree with you. I thought the story was brilliantly thought out, with a kind of back to the future twist at the end. But, hey we could go on forever about this. Lets just hope square keep pelting 'em out, there will always be ones we prefer over others (ff8 being disappointing with you, ff9 with me), but let's face it, games don't usually come with such strong moral messages in the midst of swords, guns, goblins and demons. Square should get a nobel peace prize for introducing such themes and putting them so blatantly on the forefront of their games. Especially in a time where games find themselves under attack from conservative criticism of lack of ethical stimulus. Oh my god i'm boring myself now, so I think I'll go.

Cam Amber casts *sleep* and finally chills out.

P.S. Thank you, host, for your advise on the no blitz playing thing, I was on the verge of starting the whole thing again cos I was convinced I had unlocked a glitch.

Hey! What's wrong with FF8? I think it's the best
FF series out of 8, 9, and 10!!

FF8 has a great story line, realistic characters
and the best music in all FF series.

FF9 is just for kids, I really hated the kido
looking of the characters.

FF10 is great for graphics, but there is no great
music in it, the story line is just ridiculous.
the characters are so thin, and.. what's with Tidus' silly story-telling throughout the game!!

Anyway, I'd definitly vote FF8 as the best FF ever, but it's just me.

Didu.

in my opinion..... there's nothing like a "ladiestouch".

Okay, I'm sure you were all wondering when I was going to pipe in . Anyway, one of the reasons why I loved this game (ff8) was because much of the storyline was inferred to, but never openly said. The part with julia and laguna/rinoa and squall, was brilliantly played, without the writers just coming out and screaming the point into your face. The fact that your characters had no "background" to begin with, made the possibilites endless. And the added hook of gf's affecting memory was a perfectly sound, (and brilliant!) way to explain why the characters knew as little as they did.
If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times.. this is essentially a LOVE story, so of COURSE there are people who will not like it. And as far as them being in a military unit new.... in 7 they were essentially terrorists in a form of military, so this is not a new concept.
And I am really surprized that no one mentiond Lunar, eternal blue... that was an AWESOME game
anyway, I have never demanded that people like what I like. If everyone liked the same things, I would be out of business!!! And I am really sensitive about this kind of thing, I've had people trying to shut down my shows, trying to get my artwork banned from areas, one woman even came into one of my shows and destroyed an original that took me 3 years to paint, and I did it when I was much younger. That is forever gone, simply because of one persons bias. It's a shame, and people who feel that they need to destroy work, simply so that others do not like it, should be ashamed of their behaviour. Now that I've ranted, I'm off to eat pancakes

okay, ff8 is not my absolute favorite out of the series, but it's okay and actually I liked every ff I ever played. Thus I think even if it's not my favorite it is definitely still a good game!
