I use emu oil as a base and add tea tree e.o. and it works. I cover with a band aid to keep any air off the skin tag area.

Ive heard that doctors can just freeze or cut them off (skin tags), but does that hurt? And I also heard that if you have them removed they aren't covered under medical because it's cosmetic, as they are harmless.

I recently developed a skin tag right under my left eye. I wonder if it would be easy to remove considering where it is.

Skin tags run in my family. Aunts, grandparents, my dad, my mom... I have a few but they don't really bother me. I would get them removed but Im more worried about what it would cost if it's not covered, and also if it hurts.

Removal by doctor will hurt a little for couple of days. if you have only one tag, go ahed and get it removed.

I have had my husband cut off the tiny little ones, bigger ones , the doctor cuts off. It only hurts for a minute. The warts gets frozen off, and that hurts a little more and a little longer. But as far as pain goes, it is nothing. My litmus test for pain is " is it as bad as labor pains" and so far not much has been that bad. Only serious surgery has even come close.

I had a skin tag right on the corner of my eye a few years ago. I went to the doctor to get it removed and it was over with pretty quickly. I dont remember there being any pain or soreness.

check out this website...
you can tell the difference just by looking at one, but if you've never seen one or the other before then you could mistake one for the other.
