I just wanted to let you all know that I sent in my resignation today. I no longer have the time to devote to the English Culture site. It's been fun getting to know you and talk with you on the forums, and I still plan to be around in some capacity, so you haven't seen the last of me.

There may be some lapse before a new English Culture editor comes on, but if any of you are interested in the position, feel free to apply.

Hi Joan and Jan...thanks for your nice comments. As I said, I'm going to still be around now and then.

I'm writing travel guides (for Germany at the moment...none for England, unfortunately) right now, which is an interesting, but very time-consuming project. It's been a great learning experience, but then again, I get something out of all the writing that I do.

Also, we're going to be doing a lot of traveling this year (we move back to the States in December) and with the impending move...things are going to start getting very hectic very soon. Something had to give. Alas, it was this.
