Hi everyone,

I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Kim and I'm the new Family Travel Editor. I'm still in learning mode here, but I look forward to "meeting" you and sharing some great conversations!

Hi Kim,

I've just voted, that brought back some memories.

The youngest child I travelled with was my youngest son at 5 months old. We were going back from Spain to the UK for my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary.

I wouldn't have chosen to travel with one so young then, but to be honest looking back it was far easier, cheaper and quieter with an 8, 6 and five month old, than the 16, 14 and 8 year old that they have beome.

Where does the time go and am I really that much older?

I know, we traveled with our first at 4 months old and we thought it was the craziest thing we'd ever done. Ours are 6, 4, and 2 now and the 2 year old is pretty difficult but the other two are great and interested in everything (which is not to say traveling with them is easy!). I'm hoping they stay interested in traveling but am preparing for the complaints of the teenage years!
