I just started taking Lexapro last week and it is already helping a little bit. But it seems like I am more stressed in the morning and start feeling better in the afternoon. Is this how it starts working in some people? I have some Xanax too and sometimes take a half when I feel like I need. I'm hoping there are some people who DON'T have a really bad experience getting off of it. Is there anyone who did not have a lot of problems? I had a bad experience with Zoloft so I was scared to start another drug. Any advice?
Please help!

Hi, I'm sorry I don't have any information for you--this is the asthma forum. I know some people take those medications for depression, and there is a forum here for that. Maybe some of the posters there have some experience/input for you. Here's the thread, and hope it helps:

I dont think you need to be afraid of medication since they help you. For example when you take lexaprodoesnt it help to ease your tension and anxiety? So, the medicine becomes very important. My little sister is an asthma patient and she has to take her medicines regularly. She even has to carry her medicines with her all the time because she does not know when she will get the attack. There are always bricanyl pills in her bag all the time. Medication helps..so dont fear it.

Hey I feel very concerned for your sister; Im really sorry that she has asthma. My father has the same problem and he uses a medicine called Beclazone. He uses it as a precautionary measure. Just a few minutes ago I was searching for asthma medicines and I found this post so, I registered over this forum to tell you about this medicine. I found an interesting article about this medicine on the following page http://www.drugdelivery.ca/s384-s-BECLAZONE.aspx , read it then you decide if your sister needs it or not. But according to me it is a must for asthma patients because it prevents asthma attack.
