I am working on a pattern and am having a hard time with the decrease part. The pattern is in British terms and I got it all except the cast off and increase info.
This is what it says:\

Increasing: For increases crochet 2 tr in the last but 1 tr.
Am I to take that as doing 1 tr in the last instead of two?

Cast off at the beginning of round: sl st over the number of sts to cast off.
Totally confused.
Cast off at the end of a round : turn when the number of sts equal the number os sts to be cast off.

I am in dire need of help with these instructions. Any help my daughter would appreciate it.

The increases are made by 2TR (DC in US terms) in the 2nd last TR then 1 TR in the last.
The second question about the cast off, they mean if you are at the beginning of your row slip stitch across the unwanted ones till you get to where you will continue in your pattern as normal. Continue number of stitches you need and finish off there. Does this make any sense? You could just finish off and re join where you need but this saves you breaking the yarn till you have to.
