Does anyone else feel sensitive to chemicals, lights, noises and other stuff?

I would answer a big YES to all of the above. I also become "overwhelmed" to alot of noise, movement and cannot drive in heavy traffic. Just walking into a busy department store is sometimes just too much to handle.
Hugs,

Thanks, Moondancer. I have now developed a 'butterfly' rash across my face and a low-grade fever. I'm being tested for Lupus tomorrow. I'm sort of scared and hope I don't have to go through a whole lot of static to find out why this is all going on ... but I'm prepared to fight for myself and my health.

I take strength from all of you.

Hugs and blessings,

Deanna

I also have a so-called "butterfly" rash and keep a low-grade fever much of the time but with several tests for lupus, they were always negative. However, my father has lupus AND polymyalgia, so-o-o....anyway, I hope the best for you.

Hi Tigger and welcome,

I've tested negative before. The ANA test (which is commonly used for Lupus) isn't always accurate. I could have systemic yeast and well, that can mimic a lot of the Lupus symtoms too. I know it may not be the condition and I really don't want to add it to my 'list', but - I feel different this time... the pain isn't FMS-like.

Keep posting and I appreciate your well wishes.

My son is so sensitive to the chemicals at school and various stores that he can no longer go to school or shopping. As for the bright lights he walks into rooms and turns light off constantly

I have a serious chemical sensitivity to shampoos. They've added a chemical/s that causes me to have a systemic reaction. The shampoos previously made were milder. I don't know if it's the fragrance, the dye, or the sulfate.

Fibromyalgia amplified everything including your senses. Since our senses are operated through our brain, this further proves that fibromyagia is a brain disorder. When those signals are turned down through medication that raises dopamine levels, then those sensitivities become more tolerable. At least that was my experience.
