I'm very happy because

It's my birthday!
I've been sitting in the sun reading my book, and have just come inside to bake myself some birthday cupcakes.
I have a wonderful hubby who spoils me and who took me to see the tiger cubs at the zoo yesterday. (And who is planning on cooking me a special dinner tonight - the details are a surprise.)

Happy Birthday Elle!!! It sounds like you had a really special day!

Mmmmm.... cupcakes! Pass one my way wink

I'm happy because:

1. My hubby quit his job
2. I got a new Dean Koontz book
3. I got a new Winter Jasmine (it smells SOOOOO yummy!)
4. I had chocolate mind ice cream....

Thank you! smile

Chocolate mind ice cream...?

My hubby cooked me salmon and calamari on the barbecue, which was delicious and made me very happy smile

I have a Dean Koontz book waiting for me too. (Well actually two, but one's a library book). But I've promised myself I get to read my Robin Hobb book next (I have to get through the library books I took out first). It's delicious torture having an unread Robin Hobb book waiting on my bookshelf. It's book 2 of a series.

And I got John Banville's The Sea for my birthday, which I'm also looking forward to reading. But Robin Hobb first.

Books make me very very happy laugh

HA HA... ya know, chocolate MIND ice cream... it heals the mind HA HA... actually it was chocolate mint wink

Which Dean Koontz book are you going to read? I've got "Forever Odd."

I've never read anything by Robin Hobb... I'll have to check it out.

Oh! Silly me, I didn't even think of that! I thought you meant something like "mentally" eating ice cream - ie enjoying the thought of it but not the calaries...
