I typed a post elsewhere earlier and realised I used the word
beloved to refer to my husband. It is one I use when we are alone or in my own thoughts and writings.

I have noticed that many online use the term Dear Husband/wife, which is often shortened to DH or DW.

What term do you use when referring to your spouse online? Does it hold any real meaning for you?

Does the online term differ from what you call him/her..

  • When alone

      • In front of the children
    • In your personal thoughts or writings
      • In front of friends, family or strangers

My apologies for being list challenged. I'll work on figuring it out, lol!

When we are alone, I use the typical terms..sweetheart and the like. Beloved is the one I pull out when I really want to make an intimate impact. I am not sure why but that word holds much meaning for us.

I usually say "your father" to the kids.

In my thoughts and the writings I don't intend for others to rea he is my beloved.

To friends and family, I refer to him by his name.

To strangers both on and offline, he is called "my husband" usually.

okay
in front of the kids-Daddy or Dad as in "Daddy's in the garden."

In public-he calls me Signora since I'm of Italian descent, I call him honey, darling, or by his name.

In private, besides all the pet names, we call each other by our middle names just for fun.We just happen to like each other's middle names and have the seminar business under those names.

That's different, I like it.
