I just wanted to drop in and say HI to everyone...esp. Mavis and Connie! I apologise for not posting lately...it's been a long Winter! Hope your birds are doing great!! Sammy and Spikey are fine and both are getting their new Spring feathers in! Sammy, the Amazon, and I still enjoy our "cuddle time" and he will often preen my eyebrows and eyelashes, which almost always sends me straight to sleep! What a wonderful stress reliever!! lovers

Hope all are well!! I'll stop back again soon!
TC!

Welcome back Lydia. Its good to see you posting again.

My birds are all fine & I actually just added a new little lovebird to the zoo. I'm having trouble thinking of a name for the little guy/girl though. Here's his picture.

Hiya Connie! I have been very busy as well...still "doctoring" with the TMJ and daughter has started Track season which keeps me VERY busy! How is the new house coming along? I'm sure it is alot of hard work, but so worth it! TC!

Lydia,

The house is wonderful. Had our first major catastrophy though! On Saturday night the basement was flooded. At least it was the washing machine instead of the toilet...but still, water is water! The sump would pump it all up and then it would come out of the pipes at the ceiling! Turned out we had to have the plumer come and they make $85 an hour on the weekend!! It cost us almost $200 to have the sewer lined cleaned out and we have to have new sewer line from our house to the street. I am sure it is the original line. If the plumer doesn't have to cut into the street it will be $1200, if they have to cut into the street it is another $1000.

My older daughter is due to have our first grandbaby (supposively a girl and she will be called Tiffany Lee) any minute now. I am excited and I guess I am ready to be a Nana. I don't want to be called gramma!! Here in a few months I will be 36!

We are busy with the yard, trying to get it cleaned up and new things planted...plus the hubby has the garden started. We had a hail storm last night. I am dreading going out and looking at things, but thank goodness we missed the tornado!!

Hi connie...what a bummer! I feel for you! We had to have something similiar done years ago...our house is 100+ yrs old (its actually on the local Historic Homes Registry! )and we had to have the whole septic system replaced because it was ancient...I know all about the nasty flooded basement thing! YUK! I hope things are looking up for you soon! CONGRATS on the new baby and remember, "Age is but a number"!! LOL! I bet you can't wait to spoil that grandbaby..that would be my favorite part and I look forward to it...well, someday! (Gotta get college out of the way first! :angel:I hope!!)

LOL! I am sitting here with my Sammy-birdie on my shoulder and he wants down to play with the keyboard soo bad! For some reason he is infatuated with the computer and I usually have to just put him up or else I don't get anything done! Goodness! Its just like having a toddler around! I wuv him dearly tho!

Mavis...did you ever pick out a name for that new birdie of yours??
Take care all!

My home was built over 100 years ago too! Its not on any historical list here though - there are lots & lots of homes here that are its age or older & some of them are really impressive homes - unlike my little shack.

My little guy does have a name now. S/He is Bubbles!
