What a great place this is to come together and learn about each other! Is Julie the moderator? Thank you whoever started it.

I am planning a trip to Cypress. Does anyone have any experience or advice?

Hi Chillin!

Welcome to our forum! I am indeed the moderator and also the editor of the Middle Eastern Culture site here at BellaOnline. Be sure to check it out and let me know what you think or what you would like to see more (or less of).

I don't really know anything about travel to Cypress, unfortunately (although if someone wants to offer me an airline ticket...) You might try asking in the Island Travel forum as well.

Glad to have you here!
Julie

Hi chillin
I have been in Turkey twice, in Lebanon and Syria one time but haven't been in Cyprus so far but guess people there must be kind and hospitable.
We will be glad to enjoy from your experience there.
Good luck.

I hear it's a place where a lot of people who live in different countries meet to vacation together. It seems similar to Dubai, where everyone has agreed that this is a place for family vacations, no violence allowed. We need more places like that!

I have been in Dubai 3 years ago for a one week vacation with my family. This city is nice place for shopping but don't recommend you this place for vacation at all. You will find Dubai so modern but isn't green at all and every things are artificial, no cosmopolitan tourist destination you will see there as Greece or Cyprus I think.

Really? You don't like Dubai? Thanks for the tip.

I keep watching the sheik who has nothing better to do in life than dig the sand from the bottom of the ocean and build new islands with it. That sounds expensive. What that tells me is that no one in his country is hungry, and that he has nothing else to worry about. Sounds like a great life, lol!

Oh yeah sheik has built very modern country and wealth for his people but if you go there will realize that people there hasn't prepared for such facilities and they have poor culture I think. Beside you will see poverty there too, for foreign workers who came from center and south east of Asia. In there you more see such people instead of native UAE.

My wife and daughter like Dubai atmosphere as love shopping but for me not. In there my role is as a porter without any wage! lol

If my wife allowed me to spend the night in discos and night clubs maybe this helps me to change my opinion. When she asks me to travel there for vacation my answer is "you can go there yourself". Her aunt lives there but she don't want to go there alone as don't permit me to travel alone too, maybe she care of her authority.

Dubai is one of best destination for Iranian, in there most of people knows Persian language, a lot of Iranian lives there.

You let your wife travel alone if she wanted to? You are a modern man! But I already knew that from what you say in your posts smile
