Everyone talks alot about wanting to lose weight.. but who's really serious about it? Who in here is actually doing something about getting in to shape (apart from just trying to eat less around the house!) or is looking for a way to shed pounds? Or knows of good ways we can discuss? I have lost about 15 lbs this past year, all by doing what you are doing. I really believe in making small changes that you can stick to.
Have you read the book The Secret? She says that by picturing and focusing on your perfect weight and believing you are that weight, your body will eventually weight that perfect weight. Try using the Law of Attraction to help you. I lost my last 6 lbs that way and wasn't even doing anything special.

Rosie, stick with it and you can do it, too! Don't look at the total amount you want to lose, just look at 10 pounds at a time and then you can continue to have success!! I have found that I get frustrated when the scale is at the top of the ten but I start to get happy the closer it gets to the bottom of the ten. That makes the next few pounds so much easier to get over since I'll be in a new "weight category". Short goals, Rosie, that's what we need. We can do it! Trish

I am trying to lose weight and get healthy. So far this year Ihave lost 25 lbs. Just small changes here and there. I haven't really done any major exercise yet. I will try that soon because the weight loss has stopped. I will check back with you guys to see how you are doing.

Yes, I changed to low carb or no carb (depends on day...I get moody sometimes and NEED carbs). I pack my lunch and do not take money with me to work...so I can't get anything from vending machines. I cut out all sodas, even diet. I drink sugar free flavored water or sugar free cool-aid. The only exercise I added so far is I park the furthest parking spot at work and walk to the door.
I have now been told that my best friend is getting married in October...so a major slim down is in effect. I will keep you posted.

Pnuts- I am having a really tough time losing weight and would very much like to try the lo-carb way. I've tried other diets. My problem is that I do like fruit. Most everyone tells me that I am VERY limited in fruit intake on lo-carb.
Your take on this would be so very appreciated.
