Hemorrhaging simply means excessive bleeding. Therefore, a normal period would not be considered a hemorrhage. Some women have excessive utering bleeding which would qualify as hemorrhaging. This can be due to fibroids, dysfunctional uterine bleeding or other causes.
The end result is often anemia, or a low red blood cell count. This can make you pale, tired, or even short of breath.
If you do experience excessive menstrual bleeding or bleedinf between periods, see your doctor.
