I hope Mavis doesn't mind me posting this, it is from a list that I am on. I did not realize this and use these when cooking my turkey every year.

Most parrot owners know about the dangers of Teflon, but many don't realize those roasting bags (that you put a turkey in to cook it)can
emit similar gases when used. There have been documented cases of birds dying in homes from the fumes these bags produce, and they do it at a much lower temp. than most teflon pans. We suggest not using them in a home with parrots. It could be disasterous.

Of course I don't mind you posting this here Connie. This is a good time of year to warn people about hazards such as this one & to remind others who heard it before & forgot about it.
