I thought this might give some good toy ideas for everyone! Hannah's love lately is a chunk of leather that has pony beads strung on it with jute. Also cardboard tp holders are a fav but don't last very long!

Miss P loves acrylic toys that she can manipulate. She also has a wiffle ball that I strung jute through and put pony beads and little wooden spools on.

Cricket, well, he has a toy with little bells on it that he loves to ring. And I was told that Canaries don't like toys. Boy that could be further from the truth! He also has a wiffle ball toy in his cage and loves to chew on the jute knots.

Every single bird I have (from the CAGs to the finches) loves the pony bead toys that I make - stringing the threads through a piece of wood. Jewel (CAG) also loves a simple toy with about 3 wood pieces on a chain that she hangs upside own on while attacking. Caesar (CAG) likes the plastic chains and chewing on the perch he is sitting on. Tracy (Lovebird) just likes his swing & paper to chew.

I go to garage sales and the second hand stores and get birdie toys for Hannah there. She has a laundry basket full of toys. Today she played with a phone that has a dial that moves. She has had that toy forever and today decided it is her fav! Aren't birds funny! Connie

Being young Gizmo thinks that my sole purpose in life is to be his toy. LOL. I too make my toys and its easy because he is a small bird. I have a bird swing suspended from the ceiling above his cage with cheap plastic shower curtain rings hanging down to his cage for him to climb up there. I try put a different healthy treat up there everyday and I trade a toy, also suspended up there, about once a week. He loves going up there to see what his treat is. I also made him a hammock inside his cage and he sleeps in it everynite. Other then that he loves bells and leather to chew on and attack. He loves lying on his back and playing with small cat balls with his feet.
