Hello!
New tatter from Dallas area here, anyone else?
I found this website and have taught myself to needle tat
and LOVE it! I've made 9 or 10 crosses, and numerous doilies
so far...I've hit each and every website I can find for
free patterns and am HOOKED! I haven't taught myself the split
ring or cluny yet, but I will soon. I first made the Beginner's Doily that I found online for free, then I did the Amusement doily, then the Mom's Pink Doily from Be-stitched, and now I'm working on the Large Round Doily from the set on page 9 of the book Tatting with Anne Orre. I'm on round 9 right now, and still have to finish it and round 10, then all the medallions to finsish the edge. Hopefully I'll have it ready by the end of Feb. By the way, I only started at the beginning January of this year!!! As you can see I really LOVE this hobby!

Dear Ladytatter,
I am in Hurst, and have tatted for, let's see,... 56 years. My grandmother taught me when I was 9 years old. I'm so glad you are so enthusiastic about tatting.....it's just great, isn't it! We may have to get together sometime. That would be fun, wouldn't it?
Keep up the good work, and keep that shuttle flying!
