One of hubby's pals from high school lives in Myrtle Beach. I visited Asheville around New Year's and man, it seems like paradise...it truly lives up to its billing as a "mini-San Francisco"...arts-friendly, gay-friendly, and one of the top 10 places for an extremely active retirement (hiking, biking, etc.)

i sometimes worry about that too. i'm 30 and single. i already resigned to the fact that i'll be single forever... as most of you said, saving for retirement is the best way so you can be comfortable even without a family of your own...got lots of nieces and nephews... maybe one of them will take care of me when i get old
