Ok, If Oblivion does ~200,000 damage, it will only get one more hit worth of damage. I am curious to know if you understand, and have tried using your Aeons to absorb hits. I found some info that indicates Bahamut will counter every fifth attack, rather than the fourth, like I thought. (Unfortunately missing still counts.) I you can run Auto-Phoenix to take his regular hits, and max out your accuracy, I think you should be able to take him out with this strategy.
One strategy I found recommends using Hyper Mighty G to absorb Impulse. This is one of Rikku's Overdrives, and casts Shell, Protect, Haste, Regen, and Auto-Life on the entire party. This Mix can be obtained by combining a Gambler's Spirit with any Curtain. This mix might be just what you need to handle his Impulse.
Yojimbo's attack (type) is based on his affinity with you. I remember reading about how it worked once, but it is very complicated, and didn't interest me. If you use him a lot, and pay him the right amounts, you can build his affinity to the point where he will use Zanmato almost every time for very little Gil. You cannot simply give him a ton of money and get him to do Zanmato. My personal opinion is that if you use Zanmato to defeat the Dark Aeons, there is no point in even fighting them. They are completely optional, and using a cheap one-shot kill would bring me no satisfaction.
Edit: The Magus Sister's Overdrive hits 6 times for a maximum of 599,994 damage.

Here is a ranking of the Dark Aeons listed with a difficulty out of 10. This ranking is according to Steaver370 in a Dark Aeon FAQ he wrote.
Dark Ixion 1st Fight - 2/10 Dark Ixion 2nd Fight - 1/10 Dark Valefor - 3/10 Dark Ifrit - 4/10 Dark Anima - 4/10 Dark Shiva - 5/10 Dark Yojimbo - 6/10 Dark Magus Sisters - 8/10 Dark Bahamut - 10/10
Looks like you should be able to take Anima. Make sure you use Aeons to take his Overdrive, and see how it goes from there.
Again, I would suggest not trying to kill them with Zanmato... it seems so pointless to me.

AuronTheGreat2: Can u list the stats of all your characters here as well as their respective armour abilities and weapon abilities? You see, I've recently beaten all the Dark Aeons, not to mention Penance (the fight itself had lasted beyond an hr!!!), so hopefully the strategies and/or preparations that I've used should be of relevance here.
Anyway, here's some info on Dark Bahamut I've found that might interest u: No matter how high your Accuracy stats are, some hits will miss your target. Wakka's ability Aim will lower the number of misses. Try this step first.
But if you're really desparate, and don't intend on allowing any of your hits to be misses, then improving your Luck figures might be an idea. That is unless u want to spend hrs upon hrs beating Earth Eater and Greater Sphere at the Monster Arena. And believe me, they are mighty tough, at least the first few times I fought them.
My strategy on Earth Eater is this: I selected Anima as the one for the job; first I made her learn the abilities Haste, Cure and Curaga. During battle, the first thing I did was cast Haste on myself and then used Pain on him twice until it fell on its back and carried on from there. Whenever Anima's HP fell to halfway its original points (say from 20,000 down to 10,000) I would use Curaga to replenish back 10,000 health.
For Greater Sphere, I basically used the same strategy as the one above except I also made Protect a part of Anima's abilities in order to reduce the nasty damage inflicted from that annoying Hydraulic Press.
But before u proceed with those two, I would advise u to improve Anima's magic, magic defence and agility stats considerably. Prefably 50 points more than what u currently have now on each of them. You do that by using the Extract Power/Mana/Speed/Ability Skills when u face Kottos (at the Monster Arena again), he will drop 40 of those Power/Mana/Speed/Ability spheres when he's overkilled, 20 for normal kill I presume. To improve magic and magic defence stats you'll need many Mana spheres, same goes for agility stats which'll require Speed spheres. This'll take some time, due to the irritating fact that they only go up by 1 point!
Back to Bahamut. When his Overdrive meter increases for the 5th time, he will unleash Impulse which casts Petrification, Slow, Full Break and Delay on your party. Stoneproof will offer no protection on Petrification but Ribbon does. Also, Auto-Haste is imperative as one of the abilities in your armour, it should prevent Slow. With Full Break, you're probably gonna have to manually dispel it like I did. And of course, summon your Aeons with Yuna to intercept his Mega Flare.
Improving your party's defence and magic defence stats would lessen the damage considerably. I had both defences over 200 points. IIRC, I actually managed to survive his Mega Flare just to test its damage level dealt. But I wouldn't recommend it.
Hope I could be of some help.
PS. Tidus96, those ratings are subjective. I found that the Magus Sisters were harder to kill than Bahamut.

I realize that the ratings are subjective... how could they be anything else.
Given the tremendously nasty status effects that Impulse inflicts, it makes me think that allowing it to kill you and using Hyper Mighty G sounds like a good route to take.

Btw, I made a boo-boo in the above post. Stoneproof does in fact cancel out the effects of Stone casted by any Dark Aeon, but I wouldn't recommend it for Penance though; the last thing u need is spending a lot of time dispelling full break and repeatedly using Esuna against someone like Penance. Also, Hyper Mighty G doesn't protect u against stone. IIRC it casts REgen, Auto-Life and Shell. Good for defence against magic attacks but halves the efficacy of ur healing spells. Auto-Life revives u but gives u only 10%-20% of ur health back. As long as long u've got maxed out Agility stats, using Full-Life wouldn't be a problem. I normally use Rikku to mix Ultra NulAll which raises my stats during battle. That said, Hyper Mighty G is a must for Penance if u do happen to bump into his Judgment Day (which u shouldn't but I did), still nailed his a** eventually though. If ur curious about the stats of the team I used against the Dark Aeons, here they are: Kimahri Strength 255 Defence 231 Magic 205 Magic Def 189 Agility 250 Luck 255 Evasion 173 Accuracy 121 HP: Around 68,000 Armour: Break HP Limit, Auto-Haste, Auto-Protect, Ribbon. Overdrive: Warrior Wakka " " 255 " " 226 " " 198 " " 189 " " 251 " " 255 " " 173 " " 141 HP: Around 68,000 Armour: Break HP Limit, Auto-Haste, Auto-Protect, (Free Slot, but I changed it to Stoneproof for testing the Dark Aeons) Overdrive: Comrade Rikku " " 255 " " 224 " " 198 " " 192 " " 255 " " 255 " " 173 " " 121 HP: 9999 Armour: Ribbon, Auto-HAste, Auto-Protect, Free Slot (Didn't have enough Wings to Discovery duringthat time) Overdrive: Stoic or Ally (All had their Celestial Weapons equipped) While loading one of my save files, this team was capable of defeating all the Dark Aeons a couple of times in a row but not once against the Magus Sisters. Rikku didn't have enough health to survive even one attack of theirs besides Mega Graviton. My patience was wearing thin after getting myself wiped out twice so I had no choice but to substitute her for Tidus who had more-or-less the same stats and HP as Kimahri and Wakka, albeit without Ribbon attached to his armour. Beat them successfully on the first go but it was still a scrappy fight compared to the ones against Bahamut, Anima and Yojimbo, which were all very comfortable when I did my replay. Even if u don't want to customize ur 3rd character with Stoneproof in his/her armour, and instead want to wait until u gather enough Dark Matters (99) for Ribbon just like I did, u can still walk out alive with these Dark Aeons. Every time I faced Anima and Bahamut without Stoneproof for Wakka's armour, he either gets stoned and then smashed by the latter or stoned and disintegrated simultaneously by the former. Which leaves just Kimahri and Rikku on the battlefield, but even with one person ejected which therefore leads to reduced agility combined for the overall team that's left, u can still pull through this one. Heck, I even beat Bahamut with just Kimahri left standing at one point. Don't panic, Ribbon will be your saviour. With these stats, Yojimbo's previously lethal Wakizashi won't be so lethal anymore, dealing about 20,000 damage points on your party. Daigoro takes off 10,000 odd, same applies with that throwing knife attack (Kozuka?) except u must remove ur Full Break status immediately. Don't bother with healing items when u've got decent agility, Curaga will do just fine. Anima's damage: His pain attack is an instant kill, his Mega Graviton will take off a little less than half of ur HP and I don't think it functions like Demi because one or two of my characters got pulled all the way back down to hell by it IIRC. Stoneproof won't be able to offer neutralisation against the nasty status effects of Anima's Mega Graviton which includes Doom, only Ribbon does. His attack takes off a measly 7000 odd. No point in telling u what Oblivion does is there? Bahamut's damage: Attack is a little over 10,000, same goes with Impulse. Mega-Flare is over 40,000. Certain times I felt daring and used my characters instead of my aeons to block Mega-Flare. The benefit is two-fold, it protects Yuna from being impulsed as well as getting a 2 fully charged overdrive bars (must mix Eccentrick beforehand). U can try that if u like. Magus Sister's damage: Attack is a little over 10,000. Mindy's Passado is instant kill. Cindy's Camisade and Sandy's Razzia both take off 60,000 as well bring ur Defence stat down to 0. But the former will lower ur MP down to 0 (better stock up on Three Stars or some Turbo Ethers) and inflicts Full Break whilst the latter deals Petrification and removes Auto-Life. Once u knock out one of the sisters (must be Mindy first since she has the lowest defence together with lowest health) they won't be able to perform Delta Attack anymore and instead rip a page off Anima's book and cast Mega Graviton on you. Blitz Ace is essential for taking out Mindy not to mention Attack Reels which deels 60,000 damage points each time. (I'll try and find out about Mindy's bee sting maneovre because she never got the chance to use it against me) I suggest u jot some of this info down...I will update it should I make any new discoveries or have made inaccuracies with my help. I realize that the ratings are subjective... how could they be anything else. My deepest of apologies, I had a brain fart moment there, hehe. It's indeed possible to take out Anima with stats in the 100s, due to his [censored] agility (although I never tried it). Oh and er...thanks for the invaluable info about the Don Tonberry trick you've listed under one of ur posts. I'm gonna need it whenever I get the chance to have my second playthrough. You see, I never got the opportunity to test out the bulk of my strength against Dark Valefor for the simple reason that I performed...*gasps*...Zanmato on the poor bird. Ok, so u may think it was unsporting, but I had no choice if he was blocking the entrance to the place where I required one more Destruction Sphere treasure before I could possess Anima.

I think the u need to gather 4 slot armours for your team, 2 slots is just not enough for someone like Dark Bahamut. U can buy them from the merchant (Wantz) at Macalania Woods once u enter it (not the snowy area btw). But they are a bit pricey (100,000 gil).
The following abilities I think are mandatory to customize ur 4 slot armour. U must have these for Wakka and Yuna at least IMO:
Break HP Limit Requires 30 Wings to Discovery to add this ability to ur armour. How to get it: Bribe Malboro 540,000 gil for 4 Wings to Discovery (if u get 1,2 or 3 WTD, soft reset the game and bribe him until u get ur 4) OR defeat Shinryu to get 1 Wings to Discovery, 2 for an Overkill OR beat the Chocobo at the Remeim Temple in a race. Opening only 3 chests and without touching any poles. U get 30 Wings to Discovery for ur troubles! (I'll explain later)
Auto Haste Requires 80 Chocobo Wings. How to get it: Steal 2 from Cactuar King OR bribe Machea (Omega Ruins) 360,000 gil for 60 Chocobo Wings.
Auto Protect Requires 70 Light Curtains. How to get it: Beat Fafnir(Monster Arena) for 20 Light Curtains, 40 with an overkill OR steal 4 from Ironclad/Tanket (Monster Arena).
Ribbon Requires 99 Dark Matters. Easiest way to get it: Capture 5 of every different species in 10 different areas. Talk to the Arena Trainer and he'll give u 99 of them as well as unlocking Ultima Buster. Obviously u can only do this once, so choose wisely on whom u think its 4 slot armour is ideal for. I truly recommend Wakka for this protection, don't bother with Tidus as his pre-customized Ribbon armour *might* come in handy.
Once u've attached Ribbon to one person's armour, the other's going to have to bear with Stone proof (Requires 20 Petrify Grenades).
The other problem definitely lies in ur team's MDEF, improve those to 200 or so and see how much Impulse takes off ur HP (it's a magic based attack after all). Hopefully the damage inflicted on u will drop quite a bit, if he still kills u, try the maximum 255.
Question: How much damage can ur Yuna and Wakka deal on Dark Bahamut with their Quick Hits/Normal Attacks exactly? What about Tidus's Excalibur? If they're under 99,999 points, u might wanna improve on ur Luck stats. Luck increases the chances of there being critical hits, as well as boost ur evasion and accuracy. Defeat Greater Sphere to get Luck Spheres and beat Earth Eater to get Fortune Spheres. Both appear in the Monster Arena in the Original Creations section.
How to unlock Earth Eater: Activate any two Area Conquest bosses How to unlock Greater Sphere: Activate any two Species Conquest bosses
Read the strategy I provided in my first post to see if u can beat these two monsters.
Finally, do not beat the Dark Yojimbo challenge yet. There is a good way of getting unlimited amounts of Dark Matters and decent armours against him. I'll tell u this trick once u did what I suggested.
Good luck.
