I'm a beginner and will be taking a Slip Stitch/Mosaic Felted Bag class next month. The class calls for Mano Del Uruguay yarn and that is too pricey for me right now. Could someone recommend a less expensive yarn that is simular to MDU?

Thank you,
Andrea

Hi there should be plenty of yarns you can choose from which would give you a similar result. Noro Kureyon works well for felting and I have seen it used in many patterns for felted bags. It's slightly finer, knitting at 18 stitches per 10 cm on US 8/5 mm knitting needles, but two stitches per 10 cm isn't going to make that much difference in a project like a knitted bag.
