All kinds of garden burgers are good. Even my daughter in college likes them and they provide a quick meal for her.

Amy's Kitchen products are delicious.

Amy's makes great stuff. Their vegan frozen dinners are a real treat after brown rice and veggies for a few days. Tempeh is great as well.

When we were totally veg we didn't do fake meat. We avoid processed foods so we stayed away from the meat substitutes. We used portabello mushrooms for burgers. We also did by Gardenburgers but they're not as processed as the soy stuff.

I am not a veg, but I do enjoy some products by "Amy" and "Gardenburger". However, I find some of the products high in calories.

But remember that all calories aren't the same.

Everything that everyone has mentioned here has been good. I started out with Worthington and Loma Linda Foods (7th Day Adventist; primarily shaped gluten); why I ever toyed with vegetarianism after that, I don't know (LOL!)(they really aren't THAT bad, they are just 'different' and ok in a pinch (good for food storage quick meals), but have stayed with it off and on for nearly 40 years. I learned to make my own gluten and tofu, so if I had to, I could make my own bases. I enjoy using TVP, since its really so hard to tell from well broken up ground beef or turkey.

I lived in Worthington, OH (home of the above mentioned Worthington Foods and where most of the Morningstar Farms products are made) as a young child. I love Stripples (Morningstar Breakfast Strips) and their corn dogs, which funny enough taste just like the ones we used to get at the charity booths at local events, hmmm... To me, stripples were just another food, not "fake bacon." (Other than the strip pattern and the saltiness, the two have nothing in common.) They are both comfort foods for me. (And a guilty pleasure, like Jan said, they are HIGHLY processed! And stripples are very fatty and salty too.)

I never really liked most meat anyway and once I became a vegetarian (early high school), I didn't see the point in eating "fake meat" and I don't really like most of the fake meat products. I do like gluten and tofu, but not usually when it is prepared exactly the like meat it is supposed to be in some non-vegetarian recipe. My mom used to make casseroles substituting pinto beans for ground beef, and that is really good! The best thing about Gardenburgers and Boca Burgers is that they are palatable and served at restaurants that previously had nothing vegetarian. Also, people seem completely comfortable about my bringing my own fake burger to a BBQ, but if I bring my own food or don't eat it often seems to make them feel uncomfortable.

I love garden burgers too! I'm so glad to see more "fake meat" products in regular grocery stores.

I used to get some fake chicken chunks that were really good but haven't seen them since I moved to Texas from Oregon. In Oregon you can go into any restaurant and order a garden burger or something similar. Texas is known for its beef tho and cattle ranching so they may never really take to it.

Melissa's Soyrizo (fake chorizo) is great w/some refried beans. Also Morningstar Farms Spicy Black Bean Burger. And of course, CHEESE. Hate the dairy industry but can't go vegan frown

I love Veggie Patch hot dog shaped things. They're shaped right for cooking over a campfire but make no attempt to taste like meat. Instead, they have flavors like Jalepeno Cheddar and Sundried Tomato and Artichoke. Yum! I don't like meat, that's why I don't eat it! On the other end of the spectrum are these skewer things from Yves - they had the stringy consistency of beef and tasted as I remember beef to taste. I couldn't even finish them, I was gagging.
