Hi Folk, I am not sure what the correct forum is to post this on, so do forgive me please if I have goofed!

I have been surfing the web a lot lately and I have found a writer's competition on a website by I Publish Press.

I thought there might be other people on this site interested in knowing about this comp?

In a nutshell it's an international competition, open to anyone over 18 years of age. They are calling for novels, short story collections or long narrative poems to be submitted by February 28th, 2007. Entries can be submitted online and need a cover letter as well.

Just a reminder to anyone entering contests like this to check all the fine print and study any contracts you're sent before signing.

This particular contest requires an entry fee of $15 and offers no cash prizes. However they do seem to offer publication, and many writers may actually find that a preferrable deal. Make sure you're aware of what you're signing up for, and also what rights you may be signing away.

I Publish Press seems to be very new, so there is no information about them either good or bad. Everyone has to start somewhere, but wary and alert.
