Today is the first time in 3 weeks I've able to spend the whole day at home and had a very sad thing happen. I walked in my mud room and found a hummingbird. The little guy had one wing that was in the normal down position and the other sticking out. He was hot and tired so I ran around the house to get the nectar. Eventually he started to drink and spunk up a bit but I really dont know what to do for him. He is so sweet. Does anyone have anything to add. I'm just not really sure if his wing is broke or lislocated. I'm not a birdie doctor but don't want him to suffer if there is nothing I can do to help. Could someone please tell me what to do next.
Thank you.
Kim P.S. I could use a birdie

Poor little thing!!
Its so sad when they have an accident.
Is there a wildlife rehabilitation organization near you? If so, please give them a call.

Update on the hummingbird Well this morning after a good night sleep he is very spunky. I've been giving him nectar. I'm really not sure what else he would like. I have heard word of a woman not far from me who has helped out wildlife in the past. I will try to contact her this morning. He is still very healthy so I would hate to just leave him outside for another animal to get. ANY advice is welcome!!!
Thanks again.

Mavis,
Just wanted to let know the hummingbird is doing great. I contacted a lady not far away from me who is state licensed for rahabilitation of wild animals. The birdie angel I needed. I brought the hummingbird and she said he will be flying in no time. I was so happy I didn't give up on the little fella.
Talk to you later,
Kim
