I am looking for a rolled neck pattern or just the general directions on how to do it. I want to add this type neckline to an infants poncho pattern for my great granddaughter. I think it would help keep it on better. All the women in my family have narrow sholders and I think this would be a solution to the "falling off" problem!

I've never done a rolled neck in crochet, but I have in sewing and knitting. In general, a rolled neck is just extra rows of a non-ribbed stitch or fabric that will roll. If you take a standard neck pattern and just do it in a stitch that doesn't have sufficient body to not-roll until it rolls as you like it. You may have to use more or fewer stitches to get the right size if the stitch you use is a different size than the original stitch.

Thanks Julie, I had a feeling it was more a method than a actual pattern. I wonder if sc rows would roll?

I think I've had looser SC roll. I'm not sure how loose it would have to be though. I'm thinking maybe it was SC through back loop, not sure - Sorry.

I forget the name of the stitch, but the crochet pattern stitch that looks more like knitting would probably roll too.

Thanks Julie, I think I've found a pattern with the directions for the neckline I'm looking for, now just have to order it! I'll let you know what the method is.
