Hi everyone- I'm new here-just signed up today, and was wondering how I would find Irish recipes--thanks for any replies and have a great day.

Hello and welcome, Ireland-Green. If you look under "Subjects" on the left side of the Irish Culture page, you can scroll down to "Recipes." There you will find links to articles and sites that deal with Irish foods and cooking. There are many.

You're more than welcome.

I was delighted when I finally found the flour for the brown bread. It's a family favorite and very healthful. Because it's a "soda" bread, it qualifies as a quick bread. There's no heavy kneading or rising of the dough, so you can have it on the table quickly. Even Granny used Oodlum's Brown Bread mix! (She made the Irish Soda Bread from scratch, but for the brown bread everybody uses the mix.)

You can put raisins or currants in it if you like. If I wanted a scone and there were no raisins in the house, I wouldn't wait to bake.<G>
