thank you all so much! I'm uber proud of this one. The link is here:

http://www.drgbooks.com/crochet/Old_Glory.pdf http://www.drgbooks.com/crochet/Old_Glory.pdf

It took me about 3 weeks to finish. The amounts on the pdf are wrong...you need 14 oz of navy and 15 oz of gold. The colours I used were Caron one pound scarlet, Caron one pound white, Caron perfect match sunflower and Red Heart super saver soft navy. It ended up bigger than the pdf said too...about 5' x 6' plus fringe instead of 4' x 5' but I didn't use any more yarn than the pattern said to and my gauge was right on.

Wow!!!!! I made one with the 13 stars in a circle and I just made the stars seperate and sewed them on. Yours is just beautiful. I gave mine to my youngest son when he was small and in a play about the first flag. I hope he never sees your wink He would not be as happy with his smile Mimi

Oh my. It is gorgeous. I am with a group that is trying to get a blanket to every child that has lost a parent or sibling in the war. Many have made patriotic blankets for some of the older ones but I have never seen one that lovely. Beautiful job.
