I didn't find out for my first. It didn't matter and my doctor didn't do any sonos at all.
It was a surprise when they said "It's a boy!". My husband's family celebrated because, if we didn't have a boy, the family name would have died out after my husband.
The second time, I wanted a girl and even were pink to the sono. At 13 weeks, they saw that the baby was a boy. I was disappointed for about 15 seconds then happy.
And have been happy ever since. I couldn't have asked for better kids (OK they could be NEATER) and I am sure whatever the sex of the baby, you will be proud as a peacock
