I got my eyebrow pierced about 7 months ago, and recently I noticed some raised bumps/tissue around the holes of the piercings. Are these keloids? I know I have been kind of clutzy lately and hit the eyebrow or snagged the piercing a few times more recently, could it just be scar tissue? And how can I get rid of it? I have tried tea tree oil, as I did with my nose piercing, but it's only helped minimally so far. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Since you ask both "are these keloids?" and "could it just be scar tissue?" I'd like to first point out that a keloid IS scar tissue.

Keloid refers to a specific type of scar tissue.

Take care of it like you did when it was first pierced, but if you snagged it good and hard, you might have damaged it enough that's it will form more or rougher tissue than normal healing, i.e. scar tissue.

Facials piercings need a bit of care, or these sorts of accidents can leave you with permanent bumps of scar tissue.
