How about we take a few minutes out to introduce ourselves so we know who we all are here?
I'll start - my name is Kate, I am English and live in Spain with my 6 dogs, 5 cats (one of which, Schnookems is the crown model!) and 1 long suffering husband!
I crochet, knit, spin, dye, felt make - in fact all enjoy most fiber crafts. I was taught to crochet by my grandmother.
* Most recently finished item - thread crochet bear
* On hook now - (amongst other things) arm-in sweater (ie working in two halves from the wrists inwards)
* Favorite crochet book - Sylvia Cosh 'The sweater book'. I find Sylvia's work very inspiring.
That's enough about me - who's next...!!
Kate

Hello Kate,
I am Judy from Springfield, Oregon USA and have been a "newbie" member of this group for about 2 years now. I don't have time to visit too often, but enjoy my visits when I do make it by. I have been crocheting for about 50 years, and especially love filet work. I design most of my own patterns, but have never taken the time to try to publish--which leads my husband to ask why I collect so many patterns since I seldom use them. I have played with tatting and knitting but always migrate back to crochet. In addition to Pattern Acquisition Syndrome, I also suffer from Yarn and Thread Acquisition Syndrome.
Take care and have a Happy New Year! Judy in Oregon

Hi, I'm Edith in Jacksonville, Fl. I've been crocheting for over 60 years and have tried just about every aspect of it. My husband was in the Navy for over 20 years (I'm a widow)so a lot of time was spent without him with my two sons. I mostly now crochet afghans, lapghans, and baby blankets. My eyesight is not what it used to be so I don't use the smaller yarns anymore. Most of my projects now go to charities.

Hi, from Texas-well at least for right now. We home base here, but travel around in our motor home most of the year selling our crafts. One downside of selling what you make, is you end up making the same things over and over. However, I do try a few new things each place we go. I love the variety of crochet.

Hi I am from Ohio and have been crocheting for over 30 years. I took knitting lessons first but just didn't like it so I taught myself to crochet. I am now into doing doilies in thread and am addicted to them. I am married and have a daughter 40 and a Cairn terrier Maggie who will be 8 in Feb.

My name is Jazmyn and I'm 34 years old. I have been crocheting for little over a year now. I'm married 8 months (altho we've been together almost 7 years) and we have 2 cats and no kids (and no plans for any in the future) I"m a new Aunt, my brother and his wife had a baby girl last month, so I'm obsessed with baby crochet right now. I eventually want to work my way towards being able to sell the things I make in local craft shows etc.
