We are coming up on the end of the year.

If you think you are underdeposited for the year now is the time to start going through your records from January through November. Then in the beginning of January it will be easy to just quickly review any December transactions and come up with a year end estimation.

The final 1040ES deposit date for 2006 is January 15, 2007.

Since Monday, January 15th is a federal holiday your 4th quarter 2006 1040ES deposit can be mailed (postmarked) on January 16th.

I did my calculation and mailed my deposit yesterday. It was a relief to get it out the door.
