Yeah Saddam was Iranian enemy for long time and most of people here gratitude of USA for overthrew his regimen. First of all, he corrupted our fragile democracy in 1980 and caused extremists got the rule here by his invasion.
If we look back in history will see our another chance for democracy erased by a coup in 1953 under America administration and England support, because they think Iranian weren�t deserve to have democracy on that time! It remained us long-term hostility with USA.
Parliamentary democracy in Iran refers to a bit more than 100 years ago but always encountered with bad luck!
Don�t want to tell we aren�t blame and guilty at all, any nation somewhat responsible for their government actions. Hostility corrupted and disordered people mind, I guess.
Oh pardon, seems I wrote some things irrelevant to topics.
Most of people are suspect of western countries intend, rarely people have seen they invest for democracy but could count a lot of supports in favor of dictators.
As I see in Iraq and Afghanistan, American walks in way of democracy and hope continue in this way, whether what�s the reason.

I don't know why it rise my anger! I'm not sure it was wholly true.

I realize my statement is not going to mean much politically, but...

It just saddens me that we have started off a New Year with so many people rejoicing that a man was put to death. <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

We do nothing but spread the hate when we have this attitude. I am not saying that Saddam should not have been executed - but then I honestly have never made up my mind as to whether I agree with death penalties or not.

Everytime I think I have, some exception comes up and makes me rethink again.

Regardless, 2007 has started off with much death. I only hope that this "war" can end soon so that 2008 does not go the same way.

Death penalty should be abolished everywhere.
