Did anyone get any interesting Crochet connected gifts this Christmas?

I received a Set of Boye Crochet hooks. Well when I say I received them, what I actually mean is I watched whilst my DH bought them on Ebay on Christmas Day! Well it is the thought that counts!! I can't wait to receive them, they are coming from Canada and I am in Spain so there will be a little wait but I am sure it will be worth it. No more hunting for the right sized hooks...

Any other crochet related gifts given or received this year...?

I gave my soon-to-be sister-in-law a knit Christmas stocking with an embroidered lace edging. I should have crocheted the edging because everyone who sees it thinks I have anyway and it would have been quicker than learning how to do Antwerp Stitch Edging...

You're right about teaching someone to crochet being a wonderful gift. It is truly timeless and, as we old hands know, you never forget the (often long suffering!) person who taught you to crochet!
