Hi all,

My question is: Can birds nests that are no longer used be taken down? I have some under my eaves and the mother seems to have already left along with the babies.

Thank you for any advise.

Marge

Marge,
I think it should be safe to take any nests down now. It is unlikely they would be nesting again this summer. Most of the birds in my area only got one nest in this year due to the late spring & I don't see any signs that any are on a 2nd nest.
