Bellefille:
This is all about you, my dear. I am nearly 43 and in my third marriage, finally grown up and and surrounded by the respect and caring everyone should treat themselves to.
Do you not find truth in the adage that "misery loves company"? Surround yourself with thoughts of peace, contentment and kindness, and make the move to live your life with those ever important things.
Believe me when I tell you, that sorrow and pain is never part of the package we seek in marriage...it has nothing to do with "in sickness and in health" or "in good times and bad." Misery makes itself a home only if you make a home available to it.
The state of "happiness" depends upon no one EXCEPT the person seeking it.
Cherish you and your company above all else.
Peace to you...
