Please Help,
I am a new father of a 2-1/2 and a 7 month old both girls. Never in a million years did I think I would ever have this delema, but now that I am a proud and devoted Dad I thought I would ask. My two year old loves to have her hair braided and I am at a loss. My wife can do it, but I am a man and when moms not around I might as well be armless. My question is there any link or tool you know of that will help me braid easily and quickly. I ran across this site on google by googling braided hair, but have no luck at finding my magical tool. Please help, I have come to the experts for help. Thanks so much for your time.
A Devoted Dad in need of drastic help.
My Daughters will thank you. <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Thanks Chris

This is gonna sound silly but I went and bought a long haired wig and practiced on that for weeks! And now, I have not problem.

Start of with Twisits. (used scrunchies and not rubber bands)
Then learn to "plat"
And then progress to brainds.

And I went to web sites, and read books.....you just need someone to show you.

One final note.....at two years old, plats and twists are better, braiding will break her hair off, wait until she's older for braids.

<img src="/images/graemlins/music.gif" alt="" /> I just have to say that this is the first time I have ever had three consecutive posts from men in the hair forum! <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

As for a magic tool for braiding.. I've never seen one. Thanks to Robert and Parris, you have some good advice though.
