Thursday night's card was pretty good.
Although we could have done without that lame bathroom courtroom nonsense with Nash and definitely could have done without the Nash moon shot.

The whole card was pretty good other than that. Almost pay-per-view quality. Sure has beaten out recent WWE pay-per-views and this VKM vs. VKM is going to be interesting I think. Interesting or very lame.

I enjoyed the card. Any comments about it?

From what I saw, I was just confused. That I take blame for as I don't follow the product regularly these days. But I definitely agree about the courtroom, but I also didn't catch the whole thing. I as well think the VKM could be interesting & it actually gave me interest in the group while when they were the james gang, I honestly couldn't care less. But is it smart for TNA to declare war on wwe at this point?

The other thing I was confused on was why Petey Williams was w/ LAX when they were going to "Burn the flag". Again, that might be because I haven't followed it closely, but what really irked me is how they ruined it by Christy running up to Petey after he was COVERED in "gasoline". Who would run up to ANYONE covered in gasoline? I know I wouldn't. The smell as well as fear of getting it on me as it's a pain to wash off.

The 3-way was a good regular X match but I'm not liking the X title beginning to change hands as quick as the hardcore title. Honestly I wouldn't have taken it off of Joe just yet or at least built up a Senshi/Joe fued.

The final match was an overall awesome match. I'm slowly starting to open my eyes to the greatness of Abyss. It was a good match & a good opponent for Angle even though it's odd they would put the two together as Abyss is gearing up for his match against Sting. Then Joe "teaming" w/ Abyss to beat down Angle again was odd to me. I guess they're trying to make him a regular pussy kind of heel.

I might go to the ppv this weekend & I might not. I'm not quite sure at the moment. Everything's up in the air because of how I can get in, but I'm not so sure it'll be that big of a show. I anticipate a ruining of Angle/Joe, because no matter what great things TNA seems to get, it's like they purposefully try to ruin it.

A week before the prime time show, LAX came down to the ring with the American flag and said they were going to burn it. Petey Williams was walking away from the ring as he was just involved in a match and Konnan called out to him and said that America was holding him back as well as he was from Canada and invited him to burn the flag with them. He smiled, nodded his head and kept on going to the back. That is how he got involved.

Actually I got to disagre, about the whole Abyss being good thing. I don't think I've ever seen a man so undersell the Ankle Lock. It was good solid match, way better than WWE, but when it comes to the "entertainment" part of the match I really begin to see the cracks that make WWE the succes it has been up to now.

Billy Gunn & Road Dogg will be doing the same thing they did when they were invading WCW as members of DX.
I'll be very suprised if anyone from WWE acknowledges it on air. Vince would be dead against promoting a competitor on his own show.
Then again, as long as both companies are aired on different days & times, this storyline could help both of them out if done properly. Vince and Paul Heyman tried this years ago when they were both sole owners of their own companies. Vinny Mac working a deal with the Jarretts would definitely be more unlikely.

Undersell? Abyss has never tapped out before. Not to mention he's built as a monster in TNA. Kurt NEVER worked over the ankle through out the match to my best memory. So why would Abyss tap out immediately? I'm assuming that's what you're referring to. Not only that, but how tough would he seem if he freaked out & tapped?

How did you see these "cracks" in the match w/ said "entertainment"? Please elaborate.

When I say "Undersell", I mean just that. Angle has his devastating Ankle Lock locked on and Abyss lay there like he was doing his laundry list. There was no aggression, and it looked very boring.

And that's kind of where the cracks begin to show. In a WWE match, they'd be shakeing of Heads, crys, tears, Michael Cole Screaming into the microphone and really pissing us off, but they'd make it look painful.

Hell, if they're portraying Abyss as a monster shouldn't him tapping out look as if it really meant something? He looked bored as far as I could tell!

I'm not anti TNA or Abyss, he can wrestle (the entire roster can), but it's those little things that kind of add to a match. Lets face it most of us can predict whose gonna win before the match starts, so they might give us something worth watching.

To my best memory, I thought he sold it quite well for a big man with a mask who had NO devastation done to his ankle. I do remember him being more frantic about the lock slowly before he tapped. But honestly it's not that devastating. It should be the easiest move to escape out of.

Do what you must I guess, whether it be analyzing a match or whatever. Just realize you're taking away from the experience even more.

I can't say I'll ever be a big fan of Abyss, but I didn't have a problem with the way he sold the ankle lock. For a smaller guy I can understand crying and tapping out straight away, but for a guy as big as Abyss that doesn't work so much.

Let's face it, you can't have Angle come in and make the No. 1 contender at the time tap out straight away. The fact that he did tap out, but only after Angle started putting even more pressure on, was probably the only way to do it.

If anything, from my memory, they never did show a close-up shot of him to see if he had an expression of agony, boredom , what have you. Now that's something that bugs me about TNA, sometimes I wonder whether their camera guys have fallen asleep or not.

Other than that, I don't understand building up a new group with Kazarian, Bentley and Devine only to have them get beat up straight away by two old guys. And what was Devine wearing?

If Abyss is a monster. Then I have to ask myself would Godzilla tap out to the ankle lock. I would think that Abyss would have hung in there longer. There should have been more there considering he has never tapped out before. I mean come on, he never tapped before. Was this the first submission hold placed on him? How many times have we seen other wrestlers in WWE break the hold. Show the suffering from the hold and then tap out later. I was not sold with Abyss as well. He is a monster, he caved to early and didn't even try to break the hold, one attempt at the ropes!
