I would love to hear y'alls stories about how you've spent your CF weekend.
As for me, my husband and I went on a motorcycle ride Friday afternoon (because we both took the day off) to the local winery. We tasted wine, toured the vineyard while holding hands and watched them bottle the wine. It was a gorgeous day, sunny and 70 degrees, we purchased four bottles.
That night we built a beautiful fire in our pit out back, smoked some chicken and veggies and watched the moon and listened to the Barred Owls talk back and forth to each other. The crickets were also very active and deer were only about 50 feet behind us, eating the fallen nuts from our many oak and nut trees.
Saturday we slept late, I decorated the house for Thanksgiving and hubby made me tea and doted on me with soft kisses on my neck. Later we went to have a steak out.
Sunday, we went shopping then came home early afternoon. I enjoyed some quiet book reading time with my plants while he watched the Military channel and napped. That evening, we started a fire in the woodstove and enjoyed some warm milled wine and just talked. What a wonderful weekend we had, I just couldn't be more blessed.
Let's hear what some of y'all did.

Let's see. On friday night I got to meet Ron Jeremy, the adult film star. I got a picture and an autograph. Plus watched dancers and had an appetizer. Really fun with the hubby.
Saturday night saw a community production of Fiddler on the Roof, which was excellent.
Sunday went to my niece's first b-day party, and bought her a little kids piano that does all kinds of things. Coolest present she got too, most of it was clothes. Got to leave after 2 hours and go home and watch football with the hubby. Yay!
Kind of weird once you put them all together!

This weekend we're going away for four days for our four (and a almost-half) year anniversary, plus on the day itself (Thursday) we're going to a heavy-metal/rock concert. I wish I could say all our weekends are that much fun but we're usually really boring! Last weekend we went for a long walk up to a nearby lake, I baked bran muffins, my hubby surfed the internet while I read about 3 books, and he went for a bike ride. Yawn. We work too much and watch way too much mindless TV.

Friday I didn't have any school work to do so I did some housework, went shopping, played with the dogs and watched cartoons and played video games.
Saturday DH got up and made coffee while I lounged in the bed with all 3 dogs. They're so cuddly in the morning. Who else but a dog misses you while you're sleeping? DH did dishes from the night before, picked up the living room and vacuumed and I surfed the net for a while, got a jump on some school work and then we went out for margaritas with my mom and her husband. We always have so much fun with them.
Sunday I got up and made a really unhealthy country breakfast. Our first in...well, I don't know how long it's been, several years at least. We devoured it and the dogs got a taste too. I gave my chihuahua a bath and she, DH and I all went to my mom's for dinner. She makes an amazing lasagne and had made tiramisu for dessert. My sister and her kids were there and Isobel (the chi) had a fantastic time chasing my sister's two youngest off the front porch and into the yard. They were playing but I think she really thought she was scaring them away from me as did my sister. We got a pretty good chuckle out of that.
All in all it was a pretty awesome weekend <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Friday -- took husband out for barbecue to celebrate the end of his lay-off.
Saturday -- Slept in obscenely late, hung out with husband and cat and then played a show with one of my bands.
Sunday -- Surfed the web, had a very nice early meal with husband and then co-hosted a web radio show.

Wow everyone has really nice weekends. Mine are pretty boring. I usually spend the weekends taking the dogs for walks in central park, cooking, reading, and watchign a ton of moview with my husband. I also work on sundays at a vets office and take care of cats and dogs and I do therapy work during hte week and sometimes the weekends with one of my dogs. This weekend I took care of two 6 week old pit bull puppy rescues form the vets office. They stayed in my apartment bringing my weekend total of dogs up to five which was pretty exciting. They woke up at five am and I had to cuddle and play with them to keep them from bothering the neighbors, kind of like a baby. All in all I like my weekends but I wish we could travel more but its hard with three dogs, although I love having three dogs and would like more, and no car. It can be hard going out in NYC too because everything is so expensive. I know lots of people love NYC but I am dying to leave. I have very few friends here and everything is to expensive. I am hoping to move up state where I know more people. It can be difficult I think to make friends when you work with people who are much older hten you, like I do, becuase you meet most of your friends through work. I do love my weekend but I wish they were a bit more exciting and I wish I was a bit closer to my friends.

I flew to Hot Springs, AR where the mens' chorus my husband sings with was doing some shows. We viewed the fall foliage and drove up the mountain and rode up a tower to view the area. Very beautiful! Then we went back into town and walked around the shops and historic bathhouses there. While my husband's chorus performed, I went to dinner and hung out with a couple of the other ladies who were there (without children, yippee!!) One of them is really nice and I wish I could spend more time with her but she and her husband live about 50 miles from us, across major trafficland! I see her at chorus events, mainly. Then the next morning I flew home and took our young dog to the dog park since he'd been kenneled while I was gone and was bouncing off the walls. It was fun watching him tear around the dog park, chasing and being chased by other dogs! They all had a blast! I went home and washed my car, then went to the airport later to pick up my husband when he got home. Pretty fun, and so doable without kids, due to the help of neighbor and friend with the dogs.

Friday night - dinner and shopping (Target-woohoo), hanging out with our 3 bunnies and little white mouse.
Saturday - volunteered all day at the animal shelter with 60 4th-5th graders in a Girl Scout program (they're working on animal care badges). Afterward, hit Whole Foods for some take/bake lasagna, tiramisu, wine... classical music and QUIET... called DH home (he went in to work) for our lovely dinner and a movie.
Sunday - coffee, the paper and a nice breakfast at home. Spent the rest of the day doing laundry and puttering around, playing with the bunnies/mouse. Baked some cookies and made dinner. Watched another movie. DH putzed with the computers/internet.

Friday, came home from work and had a glass of wine and relaxed. Saturday, I ran errands and made some candles...love the scents! Sunday, I hung out with Dh and we had a nice relaxing day together. We did a little bit of home improvement and talked about painting our interior.

I left work early Friday afternoon and I enjoyed the fresh new snow and deserted slopes at the local ski area, Pajarito Mountain. My girlfriend and I cooked dinner for my parents on Friday night. We slept in Saturday morning and had a nice relaxing breakfast together. My girlfriend went back to her "country home", 75 miles north of my home. I spent the rest of Saturday downhill and xc skiing at Pajarito Mountain. I skied a couple runs and ate lunch with one couple and their 11 year old daughter, all very good skiers and very nice people. At lunch I enjoyed talking skiing with the daughter but was very glad her parents are the one's responsible for providing for her! I came home, ate dinner and surfed the net before gearing up for yesterday's big day of downhill skiing at Taos Ski Valley. Yesterday I enjoyed a great day on 15" + inches of light, dry powder on the steep diamond and double diamond ski trails at Taos. I worried about no one but myself. I returned home tired, drained and elated. I worked a couple extra hours today so that I can leave early on Friday to ski. Sure beats working extra hours because of parent teacher meetings, school performances, sick kids and a host of other things I can do without! Mike
