I'm not sure how much people pay attention to the weather in other areas, but there's flooding near the Seattle area. I don't know from experiencing it, just from the news. Seattle and its suburbs don't flood, it's the areas further out that are along rivers. When you watch the national news about the flooding they always mention Seattle, so I would think it gives the wrong impression.
Anyway, we won't be playing again until March. But practice continues year-round in select softball. Does that sound crazy to you? Me too. Oh well, it does keep the girls occupied and their skills stay sharp. Most of the girls play other sports, though anyway. In the fall my daughter plays soccer, starts basketball practice, starts playing BB a few weeks before soccer ends, and of course still plays or practices softball. Oh, and goes to school. And still has friends! Do you think it's a bit much?! She manages it all incredibly well. I know I was never that busy as a kid. But then they didn't have organized sports for girls like they do now either. <img src="/images/graemlins/rolling.gif" alt="" />
