I have been feeling crummy for ages, with a wide range of symptoms that I had no clue could be related. From shortened periods, to extreme amounts of gas & bloating, to hair loss. Have been trying to conceive for 4 months (which I know isn't very long, but had no trouble with my first child, so assumed it would happen right away). A few of my symptoms, I am not sure about though - has anyone else experienced a sensation that their nerves felt like they were on end, like static? I get chills up & down my spine, even when I am warm. My arms & legs function properly, but feel like they aren't going to & would rather lay at my side? Do you just want to cry, even though you aren't depressed or sad? My worry is that my TSH is only what my Dr. considers slightly elevated (6.54 last night, 6.8 2 weeks ago), so he is not going to take this very seriously. I went to emerg. ( I can't get in to see my Dr for another week) and got on a low dose of synthroid and I am concerned it might not work very fast?

Keep pushing. I was wrongly told that I was depressed when really it was that my meds were not enough. Take them in the am and make sure you don't take Vitamin C at the same time.

You are hypo and your doctor is not treating you.
You need to be treated.
Most doctors feel patients should be at a tsh of 1.0
The range is .3-3.0 for normal.
Find a new doctor.
Personally email me with your state and I'll help you get support and find a doctor.

Getting my thyroid meds corrected is how I finally got PG and that is after being on synthroid since I was 15...doctors do not take women seriously...good thing there are soooo many of them out there. I make an appointment and interview them before I let them be my doctor...we are paying them for a service afterall...MDiety is only in their heads because we allow it.

I live in Canada & my Dr. says that normal is .5 to 5 in the labs here - different labs have different "normals" so he says. I saw my Dr. this morning again, to follow up on my trip to emerg. and he is not at all concerned, won't do any other blood work. He said some people at my level don't bother with medication, some do. I guess my only choice is to wait & see if the medication I am on alleviates some of my symptoms (.025 of synthroid). At this point, I can't have anything near my neck or it feels like I am choking, among many other symptoms.

I have been diagnosed by a doctor yet. I have an appt with an Endocrinologist for the second of January because of insurance.

I have never been a depressed person i'm 20 yrs old. I have always been happy and smiles, but during the last 5 months I gained about 45 lbs out of no where. I slept a lot during hte summer while I was taking a college course. I was tired, fatigued, depressed, i'm always cold, I have cold hands and feet, lots of gas,I have some breakouts on my face. I have weighed about 120-115 (5'6" 1/2) for the last 3 years and all of a sudden this summer I gained this weight. I have always been able to lose weight quickly, but I can't lose weight at all no matter what i eat. I moved home because I want to figure out whats wrong with me. I did a test i exercised everyday on the treadmill for 30-45 up to an hour every day for 3 weeks and i ate 5 small meals conisiting of egg whites, 2 oz chicken, veggies, salad,.. etc. i didn't lose one pound I stayed the EXACT SAME.Having this weight gain of 45 lbs over my normal weight i should be losing weight!! I cry daily because i'm so upset with the way i look and i don't understand what's going on. I talked to my Aunt because she has Hashimoto, and she said this sounds like what happened to her and she went 10 yrs undiagnosed because her doctor said no she just need to go on a diet.

I went to the doctor and did blood test but they came back normal. But she said that if she can't diagnose me then she will send me to an Endocrinologist. So that's wher ei'm at right now. Does this sound like anything that anyone else has gone through? Or symptoms??..
