Were do you buy your roses?

Do you purchase locally or through catalogue?

What are your favorite online rose retailers?

Is there any retailer you would never purchase from?

The biggest thing to remember in buying rose bushes is - you get what you pay for. The bargain bush at Wal-Mart is not as likely to give you as many problem-free years as one from someone like Jackson & Perkins, for example.

Kathi,
You are soooo right!
One thing I've learned is that a "bargain rose" is no bargain!
Walmart seems to be notorious for mislabeled roses. You may think you're buying a lovely red Mister Lincoln only to find when it blooms that Mister Lincoln is very pink and looks a great deal like Queen Elizabeth.

I think the key to buying roses from retail chains like Home Depot or Walmart is learning to look past the pretty picture on the tag to see if the rose bush is healthy.
