I work for a small online dress company. We have gotten some advice that we should move to side zippers on our dresses, not back zippers as we currently use. Does anyone have any advice on this issue. Some advantages of using the side zippers in terms of the overall look, sewing, etc.

Thanks very much for your help!

Side zippers may be easier for the person with arthritis or other hand, arm, or shoulder problems. With any of these problems, it can be nearly impossible for the person to reach around to the back to unzip a zipper. Side zippers may not be as attractive, but I'll bet any good seamstress can make the zipper opening look like a seam.
