Early Halloween morning I dreamed the Blue Angels were flying low and slow down the next street over. It was awesome! Then it switched gears and my sis in law and I were going up rapids, against the current, the water was flowing downhill and we were going uphill, over many bumps. We were sitting on a piece of corrugated tin, and had no paddles. The tin was going up the rapids by itself, kind of like a magic carpet! At one point we had to get out and stand in the water and pull the tin over one of the "bumps", but then we got back on and proceeded up the river without a paddle . I had another dream after that with the Blue Angels but do not remember it.
This morning I dreamed I was standing on a cliff overlooking the sea, and a plane took off near me, and as it got over the water, it started to descend, losing speed, and started to go back and forth (like if you hold up a piece of paper and let go of it, it goes back and forth on its way to the ground). It finally stopped moving forward, and was just going back and forth, in descent. It landed in the ocean, and I remember thinking "maybe they didn't die". Well, a little while later I had the exact same dream again, but this time it lasted longer. The plane landed in the water, and was broken into several pieces. Then I woke up, feeling that the people aboard the plane did meet their demise . Any thoughts on these two dreams with airplanes and water, two days apart?

The first dream sounds like good news to me. Going upstream with no paddles & yet moving fairly effortlessly apart from the little bumpy bit. Sounds like you are rolling along fine in life, even when it looks like you are choosing a 'difficult direction' and that you will get over any obstacles without too much difficulty. Also your sis in law is a big buddy in this adventure for you

The second dream- not so sure. You are okay- that is the good news and the blue angels sound like they are really staying with you.

Hi Firefly! I thought of the old euphemism "up the you know what creek without a paddle" when I read about your dream. I would agree with Lauren though, that even if that was implied and you are "in trouble" you are managing to win the battle!
About the plane elements in two dreams:
the first was an example of precision flying - perfection of the art perhaps.
the second (and third really) was an example of not perfect flying - a failure, catastrophe implied.
Because water was involved in the second/third dreams, I would look to something you have some emotional investment in. Has there been something you (or someone you care about) had high hopes for that petered out and let you (or them) down? Are you feeling a little wrecked about it? Because the Blue Angels dream was in your neighbourhood although the next street over, I would look for this dream's meaning somewhere close to home, physical or emotional.
What do you think? Trish

Hi Trish! Here is what happened: Halloween a.m. was the Blue Angels/up the creek without the paddle dream. (planes, water). Next a.m., the two identical dreams, back to back, of the plane taking off over water, then crashing in the water. In the second dream the plane broke up. (planes, water) Thur. a.m. no dream. Friday a.m. I dreamed I walked out on my balcony and a lone plane was flying upside down (precision flying) over the marsh in front of my house. (plane, water) when it got to my gate, it started spinning clockwise out of control, coming toward me (reversed direction). I could tell it was going to crash into my bedroom, and I had nowhere to flee. Then it was directly above me, and I thought "I am going to be crushed by this plane". Then it crashed right next to my leg, I was unharmed!. Then my cat woke me up. Four plane dreams, three water dreams, two Blue Angel dreams. In four days. I picked up on the "up the creek without a paddle", and in the last dream, "crashed and burned". (I saw flames right after it crashed). My father, who died 22 years ago, was part of the original BA (not a pilot). Is there a connection to Dad? Halloween a.m. my sister found her husband dead. He had gone to the doctor the day before for flu like symptoms, and the next day he was dead. Is the plane flying along, suddenly spinning out of control and crashing and burning my brother in law, with his infection? Are the plane crashes my fear of flying? (I refused to fly up to NC for the funeral. I just could not get on a plane). I realized the BA were flying "close to home", and in the last dream where it crashed right next to me, "it wrecked my home but I was unhurt"!!! Then there is the plane flying upside down. The BA do this in their airshows. The only other time I dreamed of a plane flying upside down, then crashing, 1 1/2 years later my daughter died in a car wreck in the same place where the plane crashed in the dream. There are too many things to consider for me to get a handle on these dreams!! And then there is the identical dreams the second morning, after the plane landed in the water I wondered in my sleep if anyone had survived, then I immediately had the same dream, but the ending showed the plane breaking up when it hit the water. Like the answer was nobody survived. Believe me I am still thinking hard about these dreams and will let you know if anything unfolds.

Oh yeah Firefly, it sounds like all of these losses from your dad, to your daughter and brother in law are all connected in this dream about loss and family. No wonder you have to work this out in dreamtime. It is all too much to digest. Love to you Trish
