I would hope you would have more of a sense of humor and laugh at yourself for your social blunders. It seems that you have had some tragedy to deal with and that can take some humor away from you. Still, complete strangers on a bulletin board make for very thin friendships. It's a poor substitute for real people.

Of all the places to look for friendship, this forum is an unlikely place - not because Atheists are unfriendly but because we do not speak your language. This has nothing to do with grammar since your English appears to be quite good, I do mean this from a philosophical point. Most of your posts are rather dogmatic in nature and that is just plain annoying to a non-believer. Why else would would you come to an Atheist forum and spout godtalk other than to hope we lost souls come around to your ways? Seems you would have a far better chance of getting friendly responses from any of the religious forums - or did they all somehow turn you away and this is the last group left?

I really don't know why you decided to post here.

Tip of the day: When you are staying in a hotel room, take the Gideon bible to the front desk and tell them you don't want it in your room.

I realize that I'm a little late on this one, but come on CDMohatta.... You are the one who decided that someone was offended (and then decided that people were hurt) with no reason. You decided to whine and threaten to leave, and now you want to stomp off in 'frustration' to pout in a corner. Grow up.

It's a pity it doesn't make you spell any better.

Was that really necessary?

I mean, nether Bernadette Soubirous, nor Joan of Arc could read or write, but it doesn't make them any less holy....

Make them holy? I thought this was a site for atheists, surely being an atheist means believing that there is no concept of holiness? Did you know that the US states with the highest illiteracy rates have the highest percentage of devout christians? Makes you think, eh?

Whether you believe in a concept of holiness or not, is irrelevant. Bernadette and Joan did, as does the originator of the post you quoted from. Don't cloud the issue. My point was that, regardless of whether you have a faith or not, you should still have manners, and treat people with respect, regardless of what either of you believe. His faith has nothing to do with his spelling. Your lack of it should not mean that you are also devoid of courtesy.
