While in India, I visited a Bahai Temple in New Delhi. It is a lotus shaped beautiful temple. There were no signs of rituals or statues inside. I would like to know how God is worshiped in Bahai faith. Purselady http://www.craftstyles.com <img src="/images/graemlins/music.gif" alt="" />

Hi, PL; sorry about the delay in getting back to you!
Baha'is worship God in many ways!
Not only do we have many prayers; we hold devotional meetings regularly in many communities.
And the Baha'i scriptures also state that work (one's profession), performed in the spirit of service to humanity, ranks as worship of God!
I hope this helps.
BTW, if you like, you can get more information about the Baha'i Faith at these sites:

Hi Its shameful that Bahai people have restricted here and forced to live Iran. Before our revolution, Bahaies lived between us without problem I think and my parents had a Bahai close family friend here. Less news about them nowadays.

Hi, Babak!
In fact, Baha'is have always been persecuted in Iran, just not as heavily as in the roughly 27 years since the revolution.
If Iran ever actually obeys the accords it already signed, the Baha'is should have a far better time there.
Right now, they're caught in a double bind because 1) Baha'is may not deny their faith and have an obligation to obey their governments; and 2) in order to leave Iran legally, one must assert one's religion as Muslim, Christian, Jewish, or Zoroastrian. So they can't even leave legally!
Peace,
Bruce

Well, Babak (a great name, BTW--same as my son's middle name! :-) ), suffice it to say that over the past 25 years Baha'is have been executed for simply having been elected to Baha'i administrative institutions! :-(
Unlike other Iranian religious minorities, Baha'is have no civil rights whatever! Indeed, someone who killed a Baha'i recently was simply fined the equivalent of $50 for "disturbing the peace."
Regards,
Bruce

Thanks for your compliment although my real name isnt Babak. I selected this name cause like Babak Khoramdin. Glad to hear that you chose this name for your son, hence you probably are Iranian?
Your statement is acceptable because I know the Islamic rules, yeah Bahais are defendless here. Its really painfully but you must know that Iranian has lack of Knowledge about this.
Three years ago I met a young Bahai guy in Turkey, he tried to move to free countries from there but told me his family dislike to immigrant anywhere. His parents loved to stay in their motherland for any price.
Last year I saw two old Bahai couples in city of Shahinshahr (15 miles north west of Isfahan), they were neighbor of our family there. They had same story, their children moved to other countries. If I was behalf them, never stay in Iran anymore.

Thank you all for writing.
Bruce: Thanks for yours, as always knowledgable replies.
Purselady: Thanks for your input and starting this thread. You were indead lucky to see the Temple in India, it is beautiful, from the pictures I have seen.
Babak: Glad to hear from someone in Iran. Persecution of religions unfortunately has gone since the beginning of time. So many people in Iran have been tortured and/or killed just for their belief. People around the world just don't know about what is going on. We don't realize how lucky we are.
Understanding and acceptance of all people is one of my goals by trying to write here.
Hope to hear more from you all!

Sandy, thanks for your kind words!
And Babak, no, I'm not Persian (born in PA), but my wife is! :-)
Regards, and do keep the questions coming!
