I recently saw an excellent drama on the BBC "The Secret Life of Mrs. Beeton". Mrs. Beeton lived in the 1800's and wrote what was basically the first popular cookbook and book on household management. This show was really captivating. I'm hoping it will be shown in N. America - it's Masterpiece Theatre-worthy.

Heard she was quite the radical !

Yeah - quite a feminist in her own way. I might have to read her book now - I see it's still in print.
